I have to take anti-biotics for my bronchitis for the next couple days, I have the worst itching imaginable. I know what it feels like to be a heroin addict / crack fiend. If there is a curse of 1000 itches I'm up to about 75 now. My whole body itches like a dog with fleas, except I have none.

And the anti-coughing medicine keeps me up all night.

Thank God this will all be over at the end of this week.

i don't know yet.

i'm in my work van I'll have to check. so far on my arms no redness or anything.

I can breathe a lot better now and I no longer cough anymore, at this rate I'll be back on my bike tomorrow. The prescription is only for a week and I'm 3 days in. If I don't get any redness and it doesn't get any worse I might just tough it out, it's only 4 days I've weathered exponentially worse situations for longer.

I'll take 4 days of misery if it means I make MSBike with fully-functional lungs.

Sounds like an allergic reaction or adverse reaction. Is your cough medication a narcotic? Those will sometimes cause itching.

Either way, call the prescribing physician and let them know what is going on.

allergic reactions tend to be progressive as the exposure to the allergen continues. So if you don't call the doctor, and it is an allergic reaction, you still might not be in biking shape. Just sayin'

well it seems to be a little better now. hmmm

FWIW, I'm taking 1 500mg Levaquin a day and teaspoon of Hydromet every 6 or 12 hours as needed.

If I'm like this tomorrow I'll give him a call.
