I'd like to put out an invitation for everyone to the Central Virginia Bike Festival coming up May 21 in Forest (Lynchburg). It's a fund raiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation with 20,40 & 60 mile rides. The 40 & 60 milers go through the Sedalia portion of Bedford county and have awesome scenery. The 60 miler adds the 13 mile climb up Thunder Ridge on the Blue Ridge Parkway into the mix. I'd love to meet some of you RBR riders.

Check http://www.cvbikefestival.com/ for more information.

Thanks

I'm semi committed to the Mt. Mitchell/Marion ride the same weekend put will keep this in mind.

I was supposed to be at Thunder ridge Yesterday (Thursday) with 8 friends but a trip I took over the weekend was extended thru Tuesday so I had to cancel the parkway trip.

Thunder Ridge Sucks When you are 250#. Next weekend a group of friends will be starting out at mile post #1 for a complete tour of the parkway (http://members.cox.net/blueridgecyclist/). They will be ascending Thunder Ridge on Sunday.

Well if you can make it We'd love to have you. And some of us are doing the ride next Sunday as well just to get ready for the real thing! Maybe we'll see your friends. And if weather holds we're doing the 40 mile route this Sunday. If Mitchell falls through come give it a try. You'd need to register by Saturday at 5 pm.
