My cassette seems to be almost missing a tooth on the 12 cog. Is this normal? Or, should it look pretty uniform. I'm worried because I don't want to sprint myself into the pavement tomorrow in the wine country.

Please respond thoughtfully but with blunt honestly and brutal force (only if really necessary because sometimes, I get emotional over bicycles, and my feelings can get hurt).

Yes, that's SRAM's <strike>gimmick</strike> innovative design. There should be a tooth missing from the other small cogs too.

Perfectly normal missing teeth from 3 or 4 different cogs on the cassette. So don't worry bout taking a fall.
