Is the website: Mavicsale.com legit?

Prices on Mavicsale.com seem too good to be true.
Is this a scam site or possibly a "drop shipper"?
Has anyone had any experience with Mavicsale.com?

Thanks in advance!

That's a pretty slick site, but I'm quite certain it's not legit.
Their address (under "contact us") is a Wal-Mart in Las Vegas.
Quite possible the OP is a spammer to trying to get clicks and drive traffic to this site. I would avoid altogether.
Moderators Note: OP is a legit Canadian IP. The referenced site not so much, there are a bunch of these rip-off sites.

It's a pretty typical practice to create burner accounts and comment on social media to generate traffic, regardless of IP. In a lot of cases it's for data mining purposes. My comment was in the interest of raising awareness and protecting this community from unscrupulous practices, i.e. compromising of sensitive personal information, malware, etc.

If something looks "too good to be true" and you has a high probability of being a rip-off or scam site, you simply should avoid it.

While not exactly the warm “Welcome to the Forum” that I was expecting, I can understand your apprehension and suspicion.

I was simply looking for a good price on Mavic tools and gear for my Cannondale R1000.
I just got back into road biking after a several decade hiatus and find that many of my bike tools from the 80’s are now obsolete.

I‘ve used BikeInn.com in the past for a few items, but I am open to suggestions…
Welcome to RBR, GumbyR100. Apologies for my skepticism as a lot people create accounts to post some type of spamming/phishing then you never hear from them again.

Generally speaking, no legitimate retailer or brand would create a separate website with a url like the one you posted: (insert any brand)sale.com. It's a giant red flag and any content that points to it is suspect, too. Drop shippers won't be as knowledgeable or have as much control over their stock. I would avoid using sites like that.

Here are some sites that are reputable and carry good stock. I've used the U.S. sites for years and haven't had any problems with them. I haven't ordered from Wiggle or Ribble in a long time, but they're well known and have good prices if you're willing to wait longer for delivery.

In the U.S.
Competitive Cyclist
Excel Sports
Jenson USA
Nashbar
Tree Fort Bikes
Ben's Cyles

International (U.K.)
Ribble
Wiggle

Parts and tools for older bikes are of course harder to find – Jenson, Nashbar, Tree Fort and Ben's carry decent stock for more everyday cycling needs, while CC and Excel carry more high end road components.

If you are looking for specific parts, tools, or are trying to carry out a specifc fix, I would post queries to the "Components and Wrenching" section. The guys that have been around RBR for awhile have deep knowledge and can probably help you find older parts and tools.
