You see this stuff all over the net--learn to play guitar like a pro in an hour. If I part with $28 what do you think I'll get? Chord diagrams....or a real honest to god secret code that will make me into Stevie Ray Vaughan in less than an hour? I'm not really considering this, but was wondering if anyone had the inside into these things. Is there some trick that would allow you to speed up learning or is it like I suspect--no tricks...just practice and lots of time?

"If you can remember this magical set of notes A, D, G, C, F...in that order, then congratulations, You have just learned the secret of mastering the most notoriously difficult guitar skill ever known to man, the very same skill Pro's use to play...

* spine tingling lead guitar
* incredible lush sounding chords
* tear inducing riffs and the ability
* to jam like they were born riding a guitar...

It's very easy, and I will show you how in the next 60 minutes or less, guaranteed....

I'd part with the $28 just to find out what it's like to be born RIDING a guitar..

and tear-inducing riffs? Damn!

I already can remember ADGCF, so what's he gonna teach me ...

Not sure if this guy is legit or not cause I've never heard of him but what he suggests is learning the basic progression of the guitar's fretboard. I had a teacher long ago who offered the same type program. If you learn it foreward and backward and there is nothing you cannot do on the guitar in time and with practice.

Another very helpfull tool is this "The Guitar Poster"... Just google it. If you are a visual mathmatician, it will pull it all together. It's one of the most helpful things you can find.

Cheers... EDB

I'd call you a hopeless tool except for two things.

1. I listened to VH's 1984 at the gym today. Damn. Why don't I listen to pre-lame d!ck Van Halen more often?
2. The duct tape ensemble. For that alone, you get a year-long pass from me.

Nah... Tis visual! Same as the other program but for the eyes. Once you see the relationships to the different progressions, the rest can/will follow. I gave it to my son when I passed along my pride and joy to him and it clicked. It's all about the fretboard. Too, I'm one of those folks who has to see it to understand it... once past that it's like.... music! Keeping in mind this comes from old school. Classical... Sagovia was my mentor even though I never got close to him. BB, Kotke, Bobby Bland, all the same but different approach. Some hear, some see, some feel it... I needed it all!
Don't know if that makes sense or not but it did for me. Now... Tabs? WTF is a tab? Same as the rest but in a different format but to me, it does not compute!

Think it's all about who we is! Just offering my sperience! :)

May not werk for you!

Cheers...

Koolimotis! I'm just an old fart who learned stuff from dinosaurs... Had only one lectric geeters. Never got to like it much. All else were lectrified akustics. Ole wood stuff and more into klassical and blugrass noise. Segovia, Doc Watson, Chet Atkins, (Heck... got the same name anyway) stuff like that. They was the same but different. Flat pick a d28 like ya finger pick a nice ole classical Menkevich or a Contreras... stuff like that!

All geeters and pickers are kin!

Like that...:cool::cool:

I've been be-yotch slapped by the J's! I feel so like one of the cool kids now. :p I have no clue what a cool water sammich is. I always heard "ate up like a soup sammich" when I was in that there Uncle Sugar's Army. But what do we know, if we were smart enough for real jobs, we wouldn't have been soldiers.:D
