dude, I've gotten up at 4:30am M-F for 2 years to train. its not the dark side unless it's actually dark...... all kidding aside, the first few weeks suck because you wake from a deep sleep. after awhile your body clock adjust and as sick as it sounds, you get used to it.

Come visit me. We'll head out at before dawn for a hundred mile loop and stop for pizza & beers at the Blind Onion. You know the one - Mill Plain and Grand.
Vancouver, not BC, Washington, not DC.

I'm over near Lieser and 14.

I don't ride a 100 miles though since I'm a cyclocrosser.

What time you ride. I live in a tourist area with a lot of military and bars, and I would NEVER ride at 6am as there are too many drunks on the road. I do all my "solo" riding late in the afternoon, for that reason and to get acclimated to the heat.
