I'm looking to purchase my first road bike and I've narrowed it down to three that fit and feel good. As far as durability and climbing I don't know which one is better. One advantage of the Jamis Ventura Elite 2008 is it's full Ultegra shifters and front derailleur. I know that Trek has a good name and their using the 105 shifters. The weight of the Jamis bike is 18 pounds and I don't know the weight of the other two are. I'm looking to spend $1,800 on a bike. I've heard a lot of good things about the Trek mandone 4.5. I really need help on this decision to make the right choice and value of spending this much on a entry level road bike.

Which one would you recommend or what else in this price range is the best?
