So my slightly bothersome knee has turned into a full blown mess... In both knees.

The pain is all around the kneecap, and if I had to describe it I'd almost liken it to a sprained ankle feeling. I can't quite come up with any other good adjectives.

I'm figuring it's just overuse. I've been taking rest days but my last few rides have been really flat out.

So I guess I'm laid up for a while. Lovely.

EEK! Hopefully it's not a torn meniscus. Minor tears can take a while to heal, bigger tears can require surgery. Sounds like once you're better, you should invest in a pro fitting for that new ride of yours.
Best of wishes on a speedy recovery.

I'm doubtful it's a torn meniscus. I have none of the tell tales other than pain.

As for the fit, I'm not concerned that that's the issue. It's down to me doing too much and not building up miles more slowly. Mea culpa.
