Is it bad if my knee starts to hurt while riding? ive been riding for over a year and it was only on my last couple that it started to bug me. should i be worried?
Do you use clipless pedals? If the cleats are not the correct angle this can lead to knee pain. Also if you mash pedals hard instead of spin this can contribute to knee pain.
Your knees shouldn't hurt when riding a bike, if they do you should get it sorted out quickly.
I would consider a fitting if the pain persists after the usual tweaking. I myself have had four knee surgeries and swear by a proper fitting or refitting.
Did you make any adjustments to your bike? About 2 months ago, I replaced my seats and slight difference of the height of the my new seat affected my knee. I had to readjust and make sure it fitted properly.
