Hi all. I'm not an experienced bike mechanic and I need your help.

Here is the problem. When I'm off the bike and I apply the front brake and rock the bike back/forth, I can feel and hear (if I put my ear next to the headtube) a slight knock. Its as if the fork/steerer (?) was room to move. I can feel it in the handlebars when I'm at very slow speeds and I apply the brakes or hit rough paving.

Can any give me suggestions as to what the problem/solution is?

FYI: Bike is an 04 or 05 Spec. S-works.

Thank you,
DC

Tighten up your headset....

First losen the stem around the steertube. Then snug up the headset till there is just enough so the handelbars still turn easliy. Tighten stem annd check.

Also go to www.parktool.com for diagrams and more directions.
