I was looking at the Kona site tonight at the '08 Kona Major Jake and '08 Jake the Snake, comparing geometries and noticed really the only differences were in the head tube and seat tube angles and of course the fork rakes.

Major Jake:
HA = 72.3 degrees
SA = 74.3 degrees
FR = 45mm

Jake the Snake:
HA = 70.7 degrees
SA = 72.7 degrees
FR = 43mm

So, I'm just trying to understand what kind of a difference in performance the different angles make when racing, can anyone explain? I'm assuming that the fork rake differences are to compensate for the difference in angles?

thanks.
