Does anyone know if the 2007 Kona Major Jake is supposed to take a 43mm or 45mm fork rake?

Major Jake Specced with Easton EC90 X

Hi

FWIW, the Major Jake was specced in 2007 with the Easton EC90 X - 45mm Rake
As a note, the Jake the Snake in 2007 shipped with the Easton EC70 X - 43mm Rake

I thought the geometry for the frames would be identical, but when I pulled them up, there were minor differences here and there, so perhaps they did optimize each frame for a specific rake.

Of course, the fine folks at Kona would probably give the best answer, and I have found them responsive to such questions in the past.

It probably won't matter all that much. I raced a pair of 07 JtS last season - one with a 45 mm EC90X and one with a 47 mm Alpha Q. Handling was different between bikes, but I'd be hard pressed to say if handling was better with one or the other.

This year, I'm trying to find another EC90X or a pair of Ritchey WCS forks.

And yes, the stock fork on the 07 JtS had a 43 mm rake.
