I recently switched wheels from a standard open pro build to a cane creek aerohead (built w/ velocity aerohead rims). I had been running kool-stop dura pads, but with the new wheelset, the pads seem too tall to fit squarely on the machined braking surface of the rim...had to go back to shimano pads, which are less tall. anyone else have this same problem? are there other pads out there that will work better than shimano, but still fit squarely on the narrow braking surface of this rim? i also have the same problem w/ a wheelset i built up w/ some ird cadence rims (same design as the american classic 350s)

thanks

Versions of Aeroheads

Velocity has produced the Aeroheads in machined and non-machined braking surfaces. In my experience, the non-machined rims tend to have a smaller area for pad contact. My solution has always been to look for narrow pads...
