I always have difficulty mounting tires on the last part. I was thinking of buying one of these tools. Has anyone tried either the Koolstop tire bead jack or the Easyhand biketool and what are your thoughts?

The Koolstop Bead Jack is a fantastic tool for mounting the last few inches of those extremely difficult road tires. I have one mounted on my road bike using a Hurricane pump bracket.

I tried the VAR version of the tool today and it wasn't very effective at all.

Koolstop Jack Bead

I use the Koolstop Jack Bead. It's the only way I can get my GP4000 tires on my Reynolds rims. I've never had a problem before with previous GP4000 tires, but this set is particularly tight. I've tried it on a set Ksyrium SL rims and it is just as tight. Before I purchased the Jack Bead, I broke two plastic tire levers, and the LBS broke two Pedros tire levers.
