A couple of a newbie questions for you all - I need your opinions. I just found a decent deal on a new un-stickered ZIPP 808 rear clincher wheel. I have often seen on TV where pro riders will ride with an aero wheel on the rear, and a shallower/lower profile wheel (some look to be aluminum) on the front.
Would it be absolutely silly to ride a 2007 Mavic Ksyrium ES on the front of my bike, and an un-badged ZIPP 808 on the rear?
Being a heavier rider at 205lbs (too much Canadian Bacon!), would the standard 24-spoke 808 rear hold up for daily training rides?
Thanks, and have a great day!
