First of all for humor sake lets not forget that steel is made with carbon...
Arguably a steel steering tube would have been better for Hincapie but on the other hand nobody here seems to be acknowledging what kind standard issue frame and fork actually carried the winner to the finish. If you don't believe it then read what Gerard Vroomen said himself.
