I recently put the Shimano SL pedals on my bike after using Look pedals for many years.
I know that they're a lower profile than the Look pedals, resulting in a slightly longer extension of your leg
Does anybody know the sole to axle distance on the Looks. I've read that the distance on the Shimanos is 14.4mm to the center of the axle. (12.6mm to the top) After riding the other day for the first time with them, I think it felt slightly different. (maybe psychological) I was just curious if someone out there knows the actual numbers so I can compare the two pedals. [

If you go to speedplay's website, they have a page where they compare speedplay's sole to axle distance with other pedals (with drag-down menus, etc.). If you compare speedplays to SLs and then speedplays to Looks you can determine the difference between SLs and Looks.
