I snapped a shot of our fearless RBR and MTBR leaders doing the Sierra climb on stage 2 of the Tour of California. Unfortunately, the camera didn't turn on fast enough to get anything but their asses. Nice asses, guys!
This wasn't the only camera issue I had. I carefully set up a video camera on a tripod to record the race with a fairly spectacular background. Naturally, a photo bike came up and stopped right in front of it, with none other than Graham Watson on it. Nice eye, Graham. I yelled "you're blocking my shot!" and he just looked at me and smiled. Bastard!
At least he moved on. Another camera guy stood right in the middle of my shot for most of the action. This guy I didn't notice, because I was watching the action and cheering the riders. Watching the video later, I wanted to ring that guy's neck. Serves me right for finding a spectacular location and then not defending it.
