If you’ve been paying attention you know that I’ve been struggling with knee pain and (what I thought was) tendonitis. I have always had problems with my hands and feet going to sleep while riding too but just ignore it for the most part. After spending the winter taking it easy by not spinning much and going to physical therapy in an attempt to rectifiy the situation and the pain not going away and a cyst developing on my wrist I went to a specialist a couple of weeks ago and just found out that I have a condition called Acroosteolysis neurogenic

Acroosteolysis neurogenic: A very rare inherited condition characterized mainly by the loss of all sensations - the loss of the ability to feel pain, temperature and touch. The loss of sensation generally starts at the toes and fingers and spreads up the limbs and the trunk may also be involved in some cases.
The sucky part is that because I am a typical macho man (see stupid) and just “rode through the pain” and have ridden around 3500 miles a year for the last two years the nerve damage I have caused kept me from feeling the pain that is usually associated with the real root of the problem which is a case Osteomyelitis (a type of pyogenic bacteria bone infection) that has set in and is past the point that typical antibiotic therapy will be effective and the doctor is considering amputation below the (right) knee to prevent the infection from spreading further. Needless to say I am somewhat shocked at this proposition. Luckily for me it is that particular day of the year that pulling your leg instead of amputating mine is what is really going on.

Mommy always said if I've got nothing nice to say, then I shouldn't say anything.

Especially to Bmx due to the 'complexities' of our relationship.

That is all. :D
