I usually start with Google. I just googled "low carb diabetes" and got a bunch of results, and they seem on target.
My understanding is that, if not taken to extremes, they're good for diabetics, because they help control the body's production of insulin. I'm generally low-carb favorable, though I still put plenty of fruits and vegetables in my diet. I don't think it's coincidence that instances of Type II diabetes in the U.S. have skyrocketed over the last 20-30 years as our diets have included more and more empty simple carbs and even low-fat diet foods filled with sugar.
