Understand the flooding has been pretty awful in parts of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. There's up to 20 inches of rain (total) forecast for a few areas for these storms, and 3-8" for much of Mississippi through Saturday alone.

Are our local RBRers hangin' tough? How is it over there?

I'm in central Louisiana in the vicinity of Alexandria. Our place is high and dry, but to the west and north of us, all the way to Shreveport, there is significant flooding, road closures, and property damage.

During the first two days of this deluge, most of the rain fell in the western and northwestern parishes and it was very heavy. Some locations got up to 10" of rain. I was able to ride on Monday and Tuesday mornings in our area.

Yesterday, the rain shifted a bit to the east and hit our area. It's still raining today but not as much as yesterday. Rain is forecast for Saturday as well.

Yes, we dodged the bullet big time in our area.

North Louisiana from Shreveport to Monroe got hammered.

Sunny today, finally. Got 40 miles in.
