Sorry I didn't see this sooner as I would have had a few suggestions. I was in Marietta over Memorial Day weekend as well. For future reference, I would suggest going north on Rt. 60. Its a nice big shoulder and smooth. You can get to Rt. 60 going through the trail that goes through Marietta starting by Front St. in Marietta. Follow the path and work your way to Rt. 60 or just follow 3rd St. which is/becomes Rt. 60.
