funny!

Made me think of the ortho who reset my ankle dislocation a while back.

After 10 weeks of PT, he suggested that it was then the time to operate and replace the ligaments in my ankle. Sending me right back for 10 more weeks of PT. Good timing doc.

For whatever reason I have seen more than my share of ortho's over the years. A few of them were not so bright.

I have known other doctors as well that were not so bright. Had a pulmonologist tell me about his trip to the valley of the shadow of death once.

But, I'd take a mechanic (ortho) over an alchemist (medicine) any day.

"So she's dead."
"There will be minimal blood loss."
lol

I found my ortho surgeon quite funny. During the consultation prior to my knee surgery, we had the following conversation:
Him: "So do you have any questions or concerns about the surgery?"
Me: "What risks are associated with general anesthetic?"
Him: "Well, something like 1 in 100,000 people won't come out of it, but there would be a whole coroner's inquest and everything. I wouldn't worry about it."
Me: "Ooook then.... thanks...."
