it was no walk in the park but it sure was fun.
i wish the profile gave some indication of the intensity of the wind.
the second big climb was tough enough alone in that wind and even the backside was sketchy/fun being buffered side to side by the wind at 45mph on a dh.

Cool pics.

Like the clouds in over the rest stop and the old diner was pretty amazing to see still standing. It's sad how many of those cool old buildings have been abandoned in the old desert towns.

I know about those crosswinds, early 90s I wrecked a Honda 750 about 12 miles outside of Camp Verde. Crosswinds took me of the bike at 60mph and came to a stop in about 8 feet,no real damage to me but dizzyiness, the bike was totally. The car ride back to the Valley was alittle painful, cramped in the back seat of a old Datsun.

Second the props for the rest stop with the clouds and the diner; also like the shot at the summit of the climb going through the cut. As an aficionado of old theaters, it pains me to see what's become of the one you shot, but then, a lot of the grand movie palaces in downtown L.A. haven't fared any better.

Thanx for posting!
