Guys,
Just wondering why we don't see wheelsets that are more aero in the front than the back with the back being much lighter? Seems like it'd be a better "general-purpose" setup with the front aero wheel helping out speed and lightweight rear helping out accelerations. Thoughts? Aesthetic reasons need not apply. :)

I can see a crosswind problem with a full aero wheel but how about something along the lines of a Zipp 808, about 81mm deep and the rear about the depth of Open Pro's or similar?

If wind conditions were such that you were running an 808 in front, why wouldn't you run an 808 or disc in the back? Aero generally trumps weight. In a sprint, you're accelerating the total unit of bike and rider, like rruff said, not just 1 wheel.

Plus you're right...it would just look goofy! :p
