LBS installed a new bottom bracket in my Giant OCR3 (2007). Now it won't shift well to the smallest chain ring up front (triple). Turns out the front derailleur is hitting the frame (brazed on mount) when tension is fully released limiting travel. Low adjustment screw is all the way out. Shifting problems started after the BB replace so it would seem that the crank (and chain rings) has shifted left. Is that possible and can the crank be adjusted to the right a couple millimeters?

Thanks.

I think what @tlg means is that they put on a BB with the wrong spindle length.

It would have been easy enough to measure the BB that came off and match it.

He's right, LBS made a basic error.

And the shop should have adjusted the derailleur (or at least confirmed it shifted) before calling the job complete.

Half-a$$ed work. After they fix their mistakes, I doubt I would go back.

Thanks everyone. Went back and the head mechanic confirmed that it was the wrong length. Re-did the work and threw in a full tune up. Bike it back to its former self! Leaving today for RSVP2, 190 miles over two days, so was panicking. All good now.
