I'm sure it's no big deal for many of you here, but it's my longest distance to date since I started riding the longer distances (up until May I had limited my riding to short commutes of <10 miles, and generally not much riding at all since moving to Memphis 8 years ago).

Anyway, it was the Red White and Blue sponsored by the Memphis Hightailers. Lots of rolling hills, good temperature, averaged about 16 mph (took me about 4:45, with two rest stops, a flat tire, and a seat repair). I'm happy, but I can tell I need a lot more riding before I'll be ready for the 100 miles.

that's good stuff......Congrats.
I have not ridden a metric century in a few years now, use to do it once a month while I was stationed in Germany.
Right now, being in the Desert, I try to ride 20 miles on the stationary 3 or 4X a week and hope to do a Century or two in Kanasa when I get home next year.

Strong work.

It's always a good feeling to accomplish something like that.
