I got lucky today. Not in the way that I'd been dreaming of, but in a surprisingly good way
nonetheless. About 3 weeks ago, I bid on and won a Campy Record carbon front derailleur on ebay. I was at work when I placed my bid, frantically 'multitasking' as I tend to do, and realized only after paying, when I decided to re-read the ad, that I'd just purchased a derailleur made for compact chainrings. The problem is that I don't ride compact rings! Duh! :mad2:

Today my derailleur arrived in the mail, and to my surprise, I had actually been sold a non-compact derailleur. Either the ad was incorrect, or I was sent the wrong derailleur. In the end, it turns out that their error, combined with my mistake, actually gave me what I'd wanted in the first place! All for just $40, delivered.

lucky, indeed.

I cannot recall a single time that I achieved a positive outcome after inserting my head... there. Good on you. You've given (false) hope to all of us....
