I was trying to catch a light yesterday, and I stood up to accelerate and snapped a spoke. I'm a machine.

Or my Mavic wheel is a piece of crap.

I wonder how much the LBS is going to charge for this...

Yes, and what's with that pie plate cassette group? Real men only ride straight blocks, nothing bigger than a 21. Or better yet, a fixed 11 / 56.

need a better story. Jac44 is right -- that wheel had an up-close-and-unfriendly confrontation with a large, immovable object.

It looks like it got rear ended with it on a trunk rack or got run over by an 18 wheeler.

It's going to be $25 bucks for the new spoke, labor, tensioning. I thought they were going to gouge me for sure.

Damn wheel is out of warranty by a year. Lame...
