I got this lame brained idea from another RBR member, (no pun, it's great)......that and the fact that I'm a chronic "tinkerer". This is a homemade bike stand, sanded, engraved, and coated with polyurethane. It was just something to do while I'm waiting for my new Ambrosio's to be built. I wanted to build something to hold my bike up securely during cleaning, maintenance, etc without having to go to the trouble of clamping it to one of my "off the floor" bike stands. It works great, and is very strong (did I mention cheap?)

It did'nt turn out as aesthetically pleasing as I wanted, but it's not bad.

Thanks. It's made out of 1 x 3 inch lumber. About a year ago, while cleaning my chain, the bike fell against the side of my porch and put two noticable scratches in the custom paint of my top tube. I was finally able to rub it out, and vowed that would never happen again. The stand does an excellent job of holding it up for maintenance.
