Hi guys. I just picked up my first road bike 2 days ago. It's an 06 Allez Elite triple. I haven't been able to put too many miles on her yet cuz the weather in NJ has been crap for the past few days. This thing is awesome. I am new to road biking but I can already see that I'm going to be addicted. Here's a pic of the bike, and any comments are welcome.

Very Nice!

The beautiful bike pic helps me stomach the ugly yankees shirt in your avatar!:D

The only advice I can pass on the break-in on my '05 was about two weeks. The frame was freakin harsh but seemed to settle down as much as it could (its still alum!) after that. Maybe just me though.

Spoke protector removed, and I flipped the stem. I think it looks a hell of a lot nicer now too I might add. No junk talkin shall be done now, thanks for the warning.

It did seem a lil harsh to me, but I'm used to a MTB also, so I really don't know how a road bike should feel though. Hopefully after a few rides my bike has the same effect that yours did. BTW...........tell me you're not a mets fan.

Yep! My LBS guy is a Yankees fan so I can deal with it. At least you're not a Red Sox fan. Those yahoos are the worst!

Yea, we can definitely agree on that one.
