Now I just need some decent weather so I can get this thing on the road and get my a$$ back into shape after an awfully fattening winter.

But take off the idiot disk and the warning stickers! Ahhh they're just painful!

I already did take 'em off. Just snapped the pics when I first got home.

Damn you. I keep telling myself that I love my old secondhand bike (and I do) but this bike porn is not helping! It makes my wallet want to explode all over the bike shop.

OK, a bit graphic, but you get the idea.

sweet ride ! good luck

nice to see a frame that isn't completely wallpapered with brand stickers and decals, dare i say - your madone appears rather subtle.

also - the stem and lighter/white highlights are stunning

Already took the idiot disk off

Sweet bike, but lose that pieplate behind your cassette!
I took the pics before I stripped the bike of the idiot disk and safety stickers. Thanks for all the nice compliments everybody. I agree, it's a beautiful bike.....and understated by today's over-stickered standards. And I am definitely not worthy of such grace. But I can afford it and paid cash, so why the he!! not, right?

It rides very, very nice. Very stiff. My old bike was a '01 Trek 5900 with Mavic Ksyrium SSL's on it and I was always happy how it rode. This bike compares remarkable similar in ride quality but is a little more stiff. It seems to WANT to get up hills. I'd like to replace the wheels but that's probably not in the budget for awhile. You know, like after the wife recovers from her heart attack over the price of this purchase.

The wheels are the only difference between the 6.5 and 6.9...a $1700 upgrade to carbon wheels. I wanted it, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.
