So, I ordered a new Six13 from a local shop. They told me that it was going to take 4-6 weeks to get the new frame to me. Is this pretty typical? I ordered a 56cm, and I figure thats a pretty common size. I thought a company as large as Cannondale would have the frames in inventory, not made-to-order (especially with such a common size).

Next and more importantly, does anyone know the front derailleur clamp diameter? Seatpost size? (for the new 2008 models)?

I ordered a System Six frame at the end of July last year. I was told 4 - 6 weeks also, it arrived in 5!!

Should be:
FD 34.9
seat post 31.6
check with your dealer to be sure.

Cannondale frames are pretty much made to order. personally, i'd be curious as to why the shop didn't have one in stock given how common the size is. smaller shop?

Most shop will not have an extra frame laying around unless is a warrenty replacement frame.

When I ordered my CAAD 9 (complete bike) a Friday it was delivered next Thursday... It had to be shipped from The Netherlands to Denmark... But I guess that CAAD 9 frames are more in-stock than their top frames...
