Well I just purchased a peugeot at a garage sale yesterday for 12 dollars. I think it's a decent bike, but it's a little old. I want to do a tune-up on it but i'm not willing to pay someone the money. So here's the question. Are there any good books and internet addresses on doing tune-ups? I figured before I tryed to mess with it I'd try to get educated first.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Start with Park Tool...

For your old French bike, browse around at www.sheldonbrown.com to find all the weird French things. It seams French bikes are different (as in all things French) just to be different.

Any specifics, stop back here at RBR and you can get 8-10 different opinions on most anything. Sorting through them will really teach you about bikes.
