I currently have a Trek 7.6FX. A hybrid type bike with 700/28 tires. I was told when I bought it I would end up getting a road bike. I think nows the time. 30-40 mile rides are getting difficult. Especially in windy conditions.
I have looked and looked at bikes of every brand. I would probably like to stick with a bigger name brand. I would entertain something $1200 to $1500. They are all cool and ride the same to me. I am still a novice at best and dont know what to look for.

HELP!
Appreciate all input

anything anyone says it going to be subjective...you need to choose yourself...
no one will admit it but...you should start off buy choosing the bikes that you think look the coolest...then from there it's a matter of trying them out and seeing how you like various fittings...at first, i say theres not much more to it...

learning to weed out biased and subjective opinions is the key... remember whatever bike shop your in the guy is gonna try to sell you the bikes they stock...for obvious reasons...

so try different stores and different bikes....

thanks

I have looked and I have leaned more to the "cooler" looking bikes. I really am liking the Felt and the Fuji. If course I am a Trek fan but might try to get something else. I know alot more about the Treks, but Ill keep looking. Thanks again

At that price range you'll get a nice bike. Choose based on what you like in looks, fit, components, frame (you should get a carbon seatstay for that) and as important as anything, the shop to back it up.
