I think the crankset / BB on my Tarmac is making a clicking sound when the right crank passes through 2 o'clock position. It happens mostly when I am standing but sometimes when seated. As a first step I went through and removed, greased, tightened the chainring bolts and stripped one in the process. Turns out they are not standard size and have smaller than normal threads and now I have to go find one at a Specialized dealer.
Anyway it didn't help. I read through the SWorks crankset manual and it mentions the use of loctite and special tools to remove the bearings so even though I have a lot of experience wrenching bikes I am not sure I want to attempt taking the BB apart. When I had a similar problem with my headset they ended up replacing the bearings, top cap and added some shims. I wonder if something similar will be needed for the BB.
