I'm looking at picking up an Wilier Izoard in the very near future that comes with the Mavics, but I just ordered the neuvations. Should I keep the neauvations or send them back? Which wheel is best? Or should I keep them and use one of the sets as a training wheel? And which wheelset would be the training wheelset?

I own both, with 2-3k miles on each.
R28aero4. Hands down. No contest.

Aero, handling, ride smoothness all better with R28s.

Reliability?- My Equipes have needed retruing twice over first 500mi, but now seem OK. R28's have been solid right out of the box.
Customer support- Neuvation is great before & after the sale. Mavic won't even talk to the customer directly & even blows off some LBS's.

My advice- If the Equipes seem solid after a couple hundred miles, keep them as training wheels. Not worth that much to sell anyway. The R28aero4 makes a reasonable low-cost event wheelset that is raced by a number of amateur teams. Never hurts to have a spare wheelset.

Thanks for the info and the advice.

Sounds like you really enjoy the R28s. I havent really found a bad review about them or the brand.

Anybody else have any experience with either?
