Hello all, just bought my first road bike, Cannondale CAAD 9, saved a few dabs with a 2007 model in the bare aluminium which is nicer than the new paint jobs imo. Anyway I need to register it and the ID number is covered with a cable guide, I presume this needs to come off, how is it attached, I don't want to damage the clear coat while finding out? This is a great forum by the way, should have got a road bike years ago, my last mountain bike had permanent slicks. Cheers.

There should have been a warranty card attached to the frame/seatpost. If not, look in the back of your owners manual, the sticker from the warranty card is supposed to be put there. It should have the serial number you need to register it... If you didnt get all your paperwork, go back the Bike Shop and ask for it. GOODLUCK!

Online registration is the way to go and no paper works to worry about.
