I'm springing for a new pair of EDGE rims and am looking for some input on the build details.

First, about me. 175lb, 36yo, crit racer, usually a leadout in P12 fields, sprinter when racing Master123. Road races on occasion, always M123, always flat-ish.

I want stiff first, aero second, light third. Race only wheels.

Hubs, DA7900 slotted, 18H front, 24 or 28H rear. Do I need 28s?
Spokes, DT New Aero all around. The heavy 14ga, 1mmx3.2mm ones.
Rims, 18H EDGE 2.45 tubular front, 24 or 28H 2.45 or 2.65 rear.

Bottom line, do I need 28 spokes in the back? Do I get the 45 or 65 for the rear? Do I need the "2" series rims?

Thanks gentlemen!

Some of the best builders out there contribute to this forum and would be the best source for advice I think. Maybe they'll chime in, or try contacting them directly. Also you might check with Jake at Edge Composites.

Personally, I'd do 20/24 with 2.45.
