Why is there a deliberate effort to create so many forums that participation more or less grinds to a halt? I can kinda--kinda--see the point of a tandom forum, but it's pointing in a bad direction.

The racing/training/nutrition --> Coaching split is a case in point--there are WEEK OLD threads in the top 5 most active on coaching, and RT&N isn't much better.

I'm not the only one who dislikes where this is headed: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=134795

I'll second this...

Balkanization of rbr is a bad idea despite what the focus groups say
