Heya Im looking to start cycling to get back in shape and to start commuting to work. Looks for a good set up that wont cripple my Walet, Im 5'8 200lbs .. any information would be awesome.

assuming your budget is less than $1000, look for a year-end closeout at the lbs or buy used. when buying any bike: do your research!!

Where are you commuting to work? If it rains, then fenders are a good thing to have. If you plan to go year-round, then lights are needed. You'll probably want a rack to carry stuff. All this results in a different bike than "just a road bike."

right now Im in Florida.. but Im movign to Hawaii ... and days that i know its going to rain i can drive.. I also want the bike for exercise.. the commuting to work is just a plus. And for carrying stuff I will use a backpack. Plus Im not afriad to get a little wet.
