Congrats!

A safe birth and a healthy child is always cause to celebrate. Best wishes to you and your family at the joyous (and stressful) time!

Congratulations

Give Luke a little extra attention -- he will need it. (The advice of an oldest child whose younger sister claims that he still has not recovered from her birth's taking away his only child status 42 years ago)

Congratulations on the new addition to the Sloan family.

Say goodbye to sleep as you know it.

Presumably he won't be a red diaper baby like I was,

but even the birth of a new baby to the Ruling Class is cause for celebration and joy. Best to you all --

Congrats! That's 2 now, right? Hang in there Doug. Sooner than you can believe, they will be old enough for you to go out and ride and you won't have to worry about who is taking care of them (not that you ever stop thinking about those things, but they get older waaayy too fast)

Congratulations, Doug

The baby doctor told us 17 years ago "When you have one, you have one. When you have two, you have four." You'll be happily busy for a long time.

Look at that powerful tush. The kid's going to be a rolleur, possibly a sprinter.

Are you stopping at two peanuts?

Congrats.

thanks, everyone

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Everyone is doing fine. Spent 3 nights in the hospital, then the first night home was like WWII air raids in London. No one slept, between the leaking diapers, spitting up, crying... and then the kids started in. ;-)

Already the 20 month old is developing some respect and awe for the newborn, even a little bit of protectionism.

All is well (except on the sleep front, which is where I'm headed).
