I was out riding yesterday and did some fast descents. At the bottom of the descent my right eye was hurting. It felt dried out in the area closest to my nose. I was wearing a pair of Oakley Half-Jacket XLJ's.

It's been 12 hours since my ride and my eye still has a dull ache. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

-Thanks, Todd

Happens all the time

No pair of glasses is going to totally eliminate air passing over the cornea unless you buy goggles, or buy a pair with a really large, tight nose bridge and then they're liable to fog up. I have a dry eye condition that's excerbated by riding in windy conditions. I use drops before and after rides as well as before sleeping. Allercan Refresh seem to work best for me since they are more viscous than regular drops. Whatever you do, avoid Visene since its a vasoconstrictor that gets the red out, but causes all sorts of other problems.
