How you guys doin?

i have been ridin mountain, BMX, single speed, tricyles, unicycles, so now i want to try road racing. I have been ridin my dads old raleigh super coarse around and really like that

so i was wondering what whould be a good intermediate bike to start racing on and what price range i am lookin at?

im not sure, im just lookin to see whats out there now.

how much is a cheap reasonable one and how much is an expensive one range too? i imagine upwards of 3500.

also... would building a bike up from scratch be an option? or would be sticking to a stock bike be better for a first bike?

what types of bike makes would you recommend or are all the popular ones pretty much the same?
