I'm getting new road wheels...The rims will be black, spokes black...should I get a polished silver hub or black. All black seems almost cliche. The White Industry hubs are machined so nicely, I kinda want to show it off... It could either look tres cool or garish...
This goes on a Ti frame, carbon fork, carbon bar, carbon post...black bar tape.
I didn't want one of those "macho" steatlh bikes...
Oh, and ... any thoughts on my nipples?
Help me... this is a fun decision

Nipples? That sounds like a personal question to me (heh heh).

Well, Ti frame is thus silvery, right?

Sounds like from your post you already want to do the silver or white hubs.

Cool.

It certainly will help it stand out more than just all black wheelset.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guy who built up my first wheelset built wheels for the Olympics.
This was for my red Felt and he suggested red nipples.
I trusted him and it looks pretty cool.

More recently, the stars aligned and after 4 years of searching
I landed my dream ride... a Storck Scenario C1.2.

(picture posted in the gallery today).

For that I was originally thinking Ksyrium SLs with the red hub, black spokes
with one red spoke (the anniversary issue),

but decided to go top-of-the-line with Mavic's new R-SYS technology

<www.Mavic.com> has a pretty cool video on the technology.

And the gold colors in spin actually go great with my racing kit,

and probably bling in that anyone in the know realizes what they are,

but Most importantly (if one is willing to spend/find the $$$$)
they ride and fit and zoom most Awesomely!

I had red SRAM hood covers originally but went back to black
and it works best for me.

Carpe Diem and happy comparing,

BJ

Given that...maybe the silver nips? Man, this is frustrating...but fun!

I just got a new wheelset - a powertap build. I had wanted a black rim, black spokes and a black hub up front, but it came with a silver hub. When I first opened the box and saw the silver hub, I was disappointed, but it looked good next to the powertap, so I got over it quickly and I really like it.
