I need a lightweight jacket (wind or wool) for chilly spring commutes and my winter jacket is a bit much. It doesn't reallt rain in Colorado, so that's not a bit issue.

Any ideas?

I use a strectchy Marmot soft shell. Windproof but not waterproof.

-or-

Patagonia R1 pullover. Fleecy and thermal.

If it's going to be chilly all day, sometimes both with a baselayer. If it looks to warm up I usually pick one or the other and wear it over a t-shirt.

I'm a big fan of layering.

It's 18 degrees with 21mph winds (according to the internets), I'm commuting on an isthmus. I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt, Patagucci R1 and the GoLite i posted above, and a gore windstopper skull cap under my helmet and windstopper gloves. It'll be a bit chilly but it's only 3 miles.
