Last weekend, we went for a hike in the North Cascades in Washington state. We hiked up to Cascade Pass and up along Sahale Arm.

Looks like awesome country...

Years ago we hiked the first section of the Pacific Crest trail (from Manning Park to the Northern Cascades highway)--pretty close to where you were, I think.

The whole time I kept thinking that it was the kind of country you see from a plane and wonder what it would be like to hike through & the answer is that it is incredible.

My wife and her family will be doing Mt. Le Conte in GSMNP this week. I will not be able to attend.

My promotion took away my hourly wage and I'm now salaried.....with no leave.

Also, if you didn't get it....I'm very jealous. I miss hiking in big country.

Good pics.
