1.) Pics would help. The rear brake housing moves how?
2.) Maybe housing too short, causing cable to bind.
3.) Maybe housing ends poorly finished (nothing personal if this is a DIY cabling) - trimmed clean, ground/filed flush, clean hole in liner for cable to pass thru.
4.) Maybe mixing old/new cables and housing introduced new kinks into the system where before there were none?
