While Nox made its name producing rims for the mountain bike market, the brand has recently branched out into the road segment. Its new carbon clincher rims are built specifically for competitive road racing.

Like its mountain bike product line, these new carbon clinchers utilize a wide rim profile for reduced rolling resistance and are tubeless compatible. Key metrics include 28mm outer diameter and 20.5mm internal diameter. That's paired with a 36mm deep "tapered parabolic shape" that Nox claims offers the best combination between aerodynamics and crosswind performance.

The friction layer of the brake track is an integral part of the rim and will not wear off like some coatings.

The brake track uses a 3k woven composite fabric that has been molded with friction additives that won't wear over time - and will stand up to extreme heat.
