By that he meant that the discourse about city biking is dominated by cycling zealots who don’t have the desire, or the skill, to attract people who don’t see themselves as cyclists, but just as people who ride a bike to work.

Bike stylist ?

Priced $1-2 K way to expensive for my blood. Might be able to fine an old bike at the thriftshop for around $20. and paint it .

But of course, this is the NY Times fashion section, not known for bargains. (not my fault I swear, a bike story came up on the homepage, what was I to do?)
